What Mountain is the Highest?

What Mountain is the Highest?

Ever wonder what mountain is the highest in the world? You may already know, but there are some things you might not. You might know the highest mountain in the world is Mount Everest, but you might not know it is about 5.5 miles above sea level! In feet that is exactly 29,035. Also, that extraordinary mountain is called, "The Goddess of the Sky" in Nepal. Many people don't know that Mount Everest's temperature can get to about -80 degrees Fahrenheit. That's some cold weather, don't you think? The people of Nepal are like guides to others who try to climb this phenomenal mountain. You may think you know a lot about this unique mountain, but there is a lot more to learn. For more information keep reading!                          My Opinions

I feel Mount Everest is fascinating! The mountain peeks surrounded by soft, thin snow is just amazing. Although it looks so soft and pleasant, people who climb the beast know it is not. When you get higher up the mountain it gets cold and the air gets thinner. These conditions make it hard to breathe and very hard to even stay alive without proper equipment. I feel the view of the magnificent mountain is great, but when you go up there it won't feel to great. Mount Everest looks very nice, but clearly doesn't like visitors.

Michael Jackson The King of Pop

Michael Jackson

The King of Pop was not completely what he seems. Michael was the 7th of 9 kids. he was born August 29, 1958. When he was 11 he performed with the Jackson 5 on television. Michael and his sister Janet made about 7 million dollars with there hit the "Scream". The family band was originally the Jackson Brothers  then turned into the Jackson 5. He was married to Lisa Marie Presley and then Debbie Rowe and had 3 children. Michael loved The Three Stooges. Also he his middle name was Joesph. Oddly enough Michael was very fond of Mexican food! Unique Sayings of Michael Jackson

Michael was a very famous singer making his "sayings" or quotes very special. For example he used to say, " People write negative things, cause they feel that's what sells. Good news to them, doesn't sell." This is a quote many people may not like but is true, in my opinion. Michael like all other famous legends had more than one quote. Another one is, " I'm just like anyone. I cut and I bleed. And I embarrass easily."  I feel this is an important quote, because people always try to separate each other when everyone is really the same. Michael also used to say, " The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work." Some may think these quotes don't mean anything, and some people may think it is the best saying they ever heard, but which ever you are, there is no problem in reading them.  http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/m/michael_jackson.html

Michael Jackson

Michael was an idol to many you singers of his age. Kids looked up to him, because of his success, in singing and dancing. His accomplishments affected more than just kids, they changed the lives of everyone. I feel Michael is really the KING of pop, because he really achieved many things in his life. He won the most Grammys in one night! Michael won 8 Grammys that special night. I feel it is unbelievable how many hits Michael had in his life time. His accomplishments made children want to learn to sing and dance too. Michael Jackson is a true legend, and will always be remembered.

What is up With Duct tape?

Duct Tape Designs?

Of course! Duct tape, or the official company Duck duct tape, has made great progress with their idea of designing duct tape. These thin colored duct tapes are used to make wallets, pencil cases, rings, flowers, backpacks, and even dresses! The thick roles aren't cheap though. At Walmart one roll can cost up to 3-5 dollars. At Home Depot it costs exactly $3.57! It is not the cheapest thing in the world but it sold very fast! Many people decided to do YouTube videos on how to make duct tape creations. To watch a video on how to make a duct tape flower pen go to the link below.
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pevVArOOlBw

My Opinions

Personally, I love duct tape! I use it all the time, but not just for designing. It is nice to have some extra duct tape around the house, because if you ever need it you can just use your designing one until you get normal duck tape. Also most of my duct tape creations are very useful. For example I made a pencil case which is useful in school. Also I made a phone case which is great to! I would say my most needed creation is my wallet. They are very nice and easy to use, and they don't slip out of your pocket or hand. Duct tape is very useful and looks great, in my opinion.

Got Questions?

Wonder how all this started? If you do, wait till next week for my next blog about, "Who Invented Duct Tape?" Have any blog suggestions? Let me know and I will do them! If you have duct tape why not try to make something new today! Comment if you do have any questions or concerns!

Who Started Rainbow Loom?

The Inventor of Rainbow Loom

Wonder who invented Rainbow loom. This high selling fag gained high amounts of money, in a short amount of time. How? Well the true inventor was Cheong Choon Ng. He didn't do this alone though. His two daughters were part of the action too. Together the trio created what is now known as Rainbow Loom. This new product sold 1.2 million units from 2010 to September 2013! That is a lot! Unfortunatly, other company's like FunLoom and Cra-Z-Loom took the same idea, tweaked it and called it their own. Sales prices dropped slightly, and Cheong Choon Ng sued the company's. To find out more on Rainbow loom and Cheong Choon Ng go to the link below.

My Opinions

Personally I have used and continue to use Rainbow loom. i have tried other products, such as Fun Loom and  Cra-Z- Loom, but i think the Rainbow loom is the best. Others may have different opinions but from experiences with these products the original Rainbow loom is the best. It is slightly less sturdy than the other products, but that is, because it can be changed into other forms/figures, to make unique designs. Other company's didn't add that twist to their looms. There are other reasons people like and dislike the different loom kits. To find out watch the video below.

Got Questions?

Want to know more about the rival between inventors of loom band kits? Why not find out! Comment any questions, concerns, or any other information you found! I would be glad to know your opinion about these high selling toys.

Who Invented Sticky-Notes?

Wonder Where Sticky-Notes Came From?

I use sticky notes a lot, so I wonder, who invented them? Well, in an article I read the author stated, "In 1968, Dr. Spencer Silver, a chemist at 3M Company, invented a unique, low-tack adhesive that would stick to things but also could be repositioned multiple times." This means the invention of Sticky- Notes, which are also known as Post-Its, is a mistake! Mistakes aren't always bad, I guess! Sticky notes are used in school, work and even at home. How? Well, they are used to give messages to others, when your not able to talk to them, and of course for other things.Interested? Keep reading to find out more. For more information on this from a different article go to the link below.
http://wonderopolis.org/wonder/who-invented-sticky-notes/

My Opinions

Sticky notes are useful. Don't you think? I think they are pretty easy to use too. Personally, I love using stick notes to remind my self what I have to do. They are great to stick on my desk when I need to check something. The best thing about them... in my opinion... is they don't peel of the paint on your wall, like some sticky products do. I love how easy sticky notes are to carry around too. they are small and easy to take places. For example, if you go shopping you could write what you need on a sticky note and put it in your pocket! It is so simple!

The Life of a Gymnast

Nastia Liukin

Nastia Liukin, a professional gymnast, an idol to young gymnasts, and a beautiful, friendly person. Nastia was a gold medalist in the All-Around at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is the third female gymnast to have won 1st place at the Olympics ever, in American history. Nastia went through many injuries before becoming a star. Her coaches were her parents. She is originally from Russia and moved here at a very young age. Nastia is currently going to the New York University (NYU). Nastia is currently 24 years old. Her college got delayed because of her fame after the Olympics. Nastia has had, and is continuing to have an exciting life.

My Opinions

Nastia Liukin is a amazing gymnast along with an amazing person. I actually met her when I was 10. She was at a gymnastics camp over the summer of 2012. When I met her she trained me and from the training I went through with her I can slightly tell how much hard work she must have put in to become such a successful gymnast. Also, as said in an article I read, "Nastia was already beginning to demonstrate a natural aptitude for gymnastics." (for a link to this article look below the Opinions section) Many people have different opinions about Nastia Liukin (A.K.A Anastasia Liukin) and express it in different ways. This is what I think about my idol and favorite gymnast.

Nastia Liukin's life story. This is the true story of this Olympic gymnast. She clearly went through many struggles that helped her be where she is today. I admire such a hard working athlete. This video shows her love for the sport, gymnastics.

What Happened This Year?

Year in Review

Many people don't realize how much goes on year round. This is, because we can't be everywhere all the time! It's just not possible! To keep updated we have our "devices". Almost every American has a type of device they use to... do many different things with. These devices such as Apple products, Androids, Tablets, or anything else you can think of, all have a way of keeping you updated. Although technology made a drastic change so has many other things. Some of these events weren't to pleasing, such as the Boston bombing. This was a very unwanted event, but unfortunately happened. To learn more about these topic keep reading onto my Opinions section. For more information, and questions you can answer click on the link below. (in green)

As you can see this advertisement was one in the many made by the Apple Company
promoting their product in 2013.

My Opinions

Personally I believe many interesting, tragic, and exciting things took place in 2013. That means we can't forget about them! A new event from 2013 that I will remember is the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. The killer of the helpless children had a sick mind, but that's only my opinion. Music has changed drastically this year. For example now music videos are like mini movies. In the music videos the music part of the video is just a background. The events that took place in 2013 made me realize something. Wherever you are you aren't safe. There is no place you can be and not be in danger. It is your choice to take risks and go places, but if you don't do it yourself now, you will find yourself saying "I could have but didn't." I don't want to be that person, saying they could have, because by then, it would have been to late.
